Our Story
A family wish. A teen's fight. A street's return to Bappa.
How it began
The celebration returned when devotion refused to stop.
For years, Ganesh Chaturthi was part of the street's heartbeat. The celebration happened with devotion and joy until 2016. From 2017, it stopped. The father and brother carried the wish to bring Bappa back every year, but each time, the circumstances made them understand that it was not possible yet.As the years passed, that silence became normal for the street. People slowly stopped expecting the festival to return. But inside one home, the wish never fully died. The father and brother still had the desire, and the fifteen-year-old boy had grown up with an intense love for Ganesha and Ganesh Chaturthi.In 2021, when the father and brother did not want to challenge the circumstances again, the teen's unyielding fighting spirit pushed the dream forward. Along with two friends, he started planning, designing and preparing every element needed to bring Ganesh Chaturthi back.But the situation became harder. Even the friends who began with him had to step away, and the boy had to return to his family with the dream in his hands. That fighting spirit became the starting fuel for the burning desire his father and brother already carried.Even in unsupporting circumstances and tight financial situations, his father, mother and brother stood by him. They held his hand, protected the dream, and made the festival not just possible, but grand. That was the beginning of SRIDVM.Soon, the youth and families of the street came together. Over the years, the youth became the backbone of SRIDVM, lifting every celebration with energy, responsibility and pride. From then on, Ganesha took care of everything.
